Hi community,
Is it possible to create an automation so that when a specific file is created - lets say a word document, I can have power automate attach that document to an employees individual document management/attachment section in Dynamics HR?
This would mean we wouldn't have to manually attach documents to specific individuals in the company. Has anyone done this before or know what Dataverse table I would need?
Regards,
Henry
Hello Henry,
Thank you for the question - it does appear that the possibility is there, as it references the potential of power automate to extend the HR functionality here: docs.microsoft.com/.../hr-developer-power-apps
For the tables related, the initial documentation here (similar to above) gives the starting point: docs.microsoft.com/.../hr-developer-entities
However, documents and attachments also require connecting to the Azure blob storage where they locate, which may be outside the scope of the above.
Hi C.Shenk,
Thank you for the reply.
I had a look at the tables, but couldn't seem to find anything related to attachments or document management?
We current don't have out dynamics Hr connected to Azure - so that might be the problem? Maybe a new table will come up if we connect it to Azure?
Thanks
The Docuref table is not available to store in D365 HR from outside the system. You need to use sharepoint or third party apps for this.
