Is it possible to have intrac-company transactions with Microsoft AX 2012?
For instance, I have 1 company with 3 divisions. I need for division 1 to supply subassembly A to division 2. How are these transaction handled?
Thank you!
It's called Intercompany in AX and it's possible. Your company A can procure items from your company B.
Hi sdtownsend68,
You can use the intercompany purchase/sales functionality that Nikolaos mentioned also within a single company to differentiate transactions within different divisions.
This is, however, not recommended by Microsoft as it might result in a couple of issues especially when it comes to taxation, reporting on those transactions, etc.
Yet, it is possible and requires that you setup dummy customers/vendors that represent the different divisions that you have and that you setup the 'inter-company' relationships between those dummy customers.
Best regards,
Ludwig
