We are trying to run DAG from the GP 18.3 install. It is giving the error "Could not load file or assembly 'Application.Dynamics, Version=18.2.0.0".
This appears to me the DAG utility is not properly compiled with reference to the 18.3 version of Application.Dynamics.dll. I need this utility to work with 18.3 for a critical issue for a client that upgraded. If we can't solve this they'll need to downgrade.
Is this a known issue? Is there a resolution?
Hi Chad
Are you using the 18.3 version of the DAG.EXE in the 18.3 folder?
Do all the referenced Dexterity dictionaries have the correct version?
I have not had any issues using the DAG tool on 18.2, 18.3 or 18.4.
Regards
David
I have a hypothesis of what is happening. We have MEM installed which modifies the GL Transaction Entry window. We then further modified the window to add a Vendor field. I then use DAG to create a new Application.MultiEntityManagement.ModifiedForms.dll. This is where the error happens. To my hypothesis - I have loaded the file Application.MultiEntityManagement.dll in ILSPY and under its references it lists version 18.2 of Application.Dynamics.dll instead of 18.3.
I was able to resolve the error my temporarily replacing v 18.3 of Application.Dynamics.dll in my SDK directory with v 18.2. This successfully created my desired Application.MultiEntityManagement.ModifiedForms.dll which I have used in a VS Tools Addin project to successfully reference the new Vendor field.
