Bypass County /State Validation for Customer Import - DIXF - D365FO

Hi,

I duplicated CustCustomerV3 entity and added few logic as per our requirement.

Is there a way I can bypass the validation of County/State when importing Customer. The system should accept any values given for the state/County.

I tried writing the logic in MapEntityToDatasource using

if (_dataSourceCtx.name() == dataEntityDataSourceStr(ABCCustCustomerV3Entity, LogisticsPostalAddressBaseEntity))
{
_dataSourceCtx.skipValidateWrite(true);
}

It is not bypassing. I am getting error when I import with invalid county

Any idea how this can be done?

Hi Anitha,

I am not sure if you can bypass validation as it will try to write the address data into the LogisticsPostalAddress table. The insert method is throwing this error and not validateWrite.

The only I can think of is to write into Country/State table(s) in case the data provided does not exist in them beforehand.

Thanks Gunjan. I bypassed this validation and incorporated the insert logic as well.
