I would like to setup an automatic excise tax when every sale is posted. Excise it's a indirect sales tax paid by the company when one product it's sold. I couldn't find any documentation explaining.
Some considerations:
each product will have an specific tax amount, it's not a rate based on the amount.
the same product will have two or more different excise tax if is shipped to different province.
Thanks in advance.
I’m not aware of particular details of this specific Canada sales tax. Based in your requirements :
In Sales Tax Codes you can define a tax code using an amount per unit instead of a percentage.
For sales tax based on address
Nuno, thanks!
My concern is: we already have one tax group and I need this tax that I am asking included on price but not showing on the invoice.
Example:
Item XPTO
Cost Price: 9
Excise Tax: 1
Sale Price: 10
HST (13% tax): 1.3
Total: 11.3
Invoice needs to show price as $10 and total as $11.30.
You can apply 2 tax codes for item. One with 13% and other with value of 1.
You can adjust witch tax code are printed if your invoice layout is prepared for that.
