Hi all
I need to have a dynamic choice where where the user can indicate the choice; the choice has rules.
The choices are for example:
- NEW
- TO SEND
- SENT
- TO BE CANCELLED
- CONFIRMED
- CANCELLATION POSTED
if the record is set to SENT (3rd option), the options NEW + TO SEND + CONFIRMED must not be selectable.
....
Is this possible?
If yes please indicate me some link where it's possible learn how to.

Hi,

We have analyzed the information you have provided, may I know your requirement is that the entity has a multi-select field where other options cannot be selected when a specific value is selected, is this correct?

We searched for information, there is no out-of-the-box method to meet your needs, according to my experience, you can use javascript to get the attributes of the element, when /SENT/ is selected, so that the form of other options to hide.

In addition, we have found an alternative solution where you can set 5 fields to mark each option as checked or unchecked and then use Business Rules to lock the other fields.

Hi @diepic,

Based on your example, would it be a fair to assume that you're trying to control a status field and what states it can transition to? If so, I would suggest taking a look at the out of the box Status Reason and Status Reason Transitions that are available for every table and see if it meets your needs.

You can achieve it through JavaScript by adding or removing the options according to the another field.
