Good morning

I am looking for a way to import the official SIX Bank directory that is in ISO 8859-1 Standard in to D365 Finance and Operations.

Searching online I found a way for D365 BC so I assume that there should also be a way in FO but i could not find it.

Can somebody help me on this topic? Any experiance here?

Thank you and best regards

Diego

    Hello Diego,

I have asked my colleague with experience in this area to investigate this. We will get back to you soon.

    Hi Diego,

Similar like in D365 BC should technically be possible in D365 F&O with either Data Management or Electronic Reporting.

The question is, what to do with the data once imported?

Shall they be used as repository to select during setup of bank accounts or do you want to create bank groups, bank accounts or just use it as lookup table.

Please note: If you are importing the provided excel table to setup bank accounts, be aware, created bank accounts cannot be deleted, which would mean you have 1000s of bank accounts while most probably you only use a couple of them.

Additionally you need to take in consideration to maintain the imported data, which are not updating easily.

I hope this information is useful.

    Kind regards

    Hi Anke,

    Thank you for your answer.

It should work like a repository so that if we have the need for the basic information like clearing number adress and so on, we can select form the list.

Those information are updated around every 6 months in average and can be downloaded from the SIX page in Switzerland.

Would that be feasable to use the list as mentioned as a repository for this use case?

Thank you again and kind regards

    Diego

    Hi Diego,

Currently we do not have any plans to add a repository or similar in standard.

You may want to add this as feature request in our ideas portal, and have others vote for it. I have seen similar requests, i.e. to create a lookup table for swift codes.

Those suggestions are regularly reviewed and considering the number of votes might be influence the future roadmaps.
