Adding entity without all its components (in unmanaged solution)

Hello all,

We have an unmanaged solution containing all the customizations for our organization.

One day, I realized that all the components of the Opportunity and Prospect entities were in our solution. However, I would like to avoid non-personalized components being present in the solution, so as not to overload it.

The buttons "Add a component" and "Remove a component" not being displayed on these two entities, I cannot remove the unwanted components.

Tested solution :

  • Remove the entire entity
  • Add the entity
  • Uncheck "Include entity metadata" and "Add all resources"
  • Add only the desired components

Result :

The entity and all its components have been added => not resolved

Does anyone have a solution to be able to remove the unwanted components from our (unmanaged) solution?

Thank you in advance for your help :-)

As per my understanding "Opportunity " is Managed Entity,

So you can removed only the managed Property Component.

    Thanks for your reply.

Opportunity is a managed entity. But I can't removed managed or unmanaged components.

For Account entity, which is a managed entity too, I can removed both managed or unmanaged componenets from this entity.

I don't understand why I can't add Opportunity entity with only some of its components (and not all), like I did for Account, Contact, Quote, etc...

    Hello Partner,

When you remove the whole entity from the solution and re-add it back to the solution, make sure you do not add required components as shown here:

If it is yes, then everything will go added to the solution. If no, then only the desired components will be added.

If you find this answer helpful, Do mark it as Suggested.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks and Regards,

    Raj

    Hello,

Thank you, it solved my issue.

I added the personnalized components. It asked me to add some needed components (some of those I added, I don't understand). I selected "NO", and now it is ok. The entity "Opportunity" contain only the components I selected.
