    Hi ,

What are the ways to delete or hide closed activities? Can Power automate allow to delete closed activities?

    Hello,

It's definitely possible to delete closed activities using "Power Automate". I'm not sure what do you mean by "hide" closed activities - hide from being shown where?

Can you please give your scenario? And not the one "how to delete or hide" but the scenario this idea came from as a possible way out.

    Hello,

You should customize the Timeline in order to filter out closed activities. Here is the article that describes it - docs.microsoft.com/.../customer-service-hub-user-guide-timeline-admin

    Hi,

As far as I know, as of now, this is not achievable with timeline control.

Users need to apply the filters manually.

Same author, similar ask, merging. What was the point to create 2 different threads in order to ask pretty much the same question?

    Sorry, my bad.

You can configure this in the Power Apps.

As Andrew mentioned, follow these steps:

    • Go to make.powerapps.com.
    • Select the correct environment.
    • Expand Data -> Tables -> <Table Name> (the one you need to configure) -> Forms -> Open the appropriate form. For example, Contact form.
    • Click on the Timeline control and click on the Advanced under the Timeline properties.
    • Click on Edit Filter Pan, and under activities select appropriate statuses.

    • Save and Publish.

Now when you load the form, the Activity Status filter is automatically applied,

I checked the control for the Dashboard and it seems that it doesn't allow that kind of customization so I'm afraid you can't do anything with it.

    Hi,

As Andrew mentioned, these settings are not available for the timeline control when placed in a Dashboard.

Seems, like users have to apply the filters themselves.

    Hi,

    I found a solution!

As mentioned, you cannot set Advanced properties of a timeline control when added to a Dashboard, however, you can set these properties in the customizations.xml file.

    The high-level solution is:

    • Add your Dashboard to a solution, export the solution as un-managed.
    • Extract the solution and edit customizaions.xml.
    • Add the JSON Filters for notescontrol (Timeline) in the XML.
    • Repack the solution and import it back.

For detailed steps, see my blog post:

    Here is the result:
