Failed to Publish Power BI Embedded

Hi guys,

In my 1Box environment. I just have an error "Failed to publish Power BI Embedded report xxx [myResourcePBI]". What I don't understand is that I have another 2 of my custom report that succeeded to open and I think there is no different within the one that failed. Only matters of different Aggregate Measurement, and this new one which failed, even the Entity store has been refreshed. Also I don;t think this is Entity Store issue.

What could be possibly go wrong ? If I take a look at my Event Viewer, also it only show information that it is failed without any clue what is wrong. 

I did setup correctly the necessary setup for 1box and the fact that other custom Power BI is running just fine. 

Anything I can go and check ?

    Hi,

    Yes, I did. That's why I mentioned the other report PBIX is running just fine. The one that failed is a new PBIX which I just add new Resource, it is with different Aggregate Measurement and I want to open it from different F&O Workspace. That is the only different.

    Btw, the other 2 that ran well, I uploaded to F&O a few weeks ago, and all with the same method. That is why I confuse what went wrong ? So is there any other thing or place I could go and check ? Because event viewer doesn;t help much.

    Is your one box on the very latest build?

    Have you tried the same in a different one box environment and are things working fine there?

    Hello Shaq,

    Can you check if this is related to bug - 482564  in LCS? Latest power BI desktop is not compatible with F&O

    Yes, thanks, I'm aware of it. Am using August version and disabling preview features which is actually same Power BI desktop version of the other 2 report that succeeded. Still figuring out what's wrong with this one.

    Not sure whether it is related to 1box though.

    Hi all,

    I'm not sure how to confirm this. but it looks like it is because of Power BI version. My installation does already downgraded to August 2020, but maybe because the PBIX itself is downloaded from PowerBI Service, which it is not under my supervision, then I'm not sure what the version is.

    It is quite weird since even when the PBIX from latest version, the other day when I open with my August Power BI desktop version, it will prompt me something. This is why I'm not too sure whether the download PBIX is the cause of the problem.

    Anyway, I decided to re-do again from Blank (New) report from my "August" Power BI then upload... even with the same filename (means I just replace the one that failed). Then it works.
