Customer Voice and Flow

Hi there

I set up the automation via the template provided on Customer Voice and after changing the status code so it matches ours, I hit a hurdle. I got the following error:

{"ErrorMessage":"System.Exception: SendEmailsForFlowRequestHandler::Transform:: distribution list count can't be empty\r\n at Microsoft.Forms.Pro.ApiFacade.Requests.FlowSendMessageRequest.Transform(TelemetryLogger telemetryLogger, HttpRequestContext requestContext)\r\n at Microsoft.Forms.Pro.ApiFacade.RequestHandlers.SendEmailsForFlowRequestHandler.<ParseRequestData>d__12.MoveNext()\r\n--- End of stack trace from previous location where exception was thrown ---\r\n at System.Runtime.ExceptionServices.ExceptionDispatchInfo.Throw()\r\n at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task)\r\n at Microsoft.Forms.Pro.ApiFacade.RequestHandlers.SendEmailsForFlowRequestHandler.<DoValidate>d__11.MoveNext()"}

My Flow is set up as below:

I'm no doubt being stupid here but any help would be gratefully appreciated :)

    Hi, I wonder, in the No part of the branch you retreive a Contact, but it looks like you use the AccountId instead of the ContactId.

    If there is no result, then the next step, sending the email, will fail.

    That would also be the case if you do find a contact, but with an empty email address.

    I think you should check on the existence of an email address before sending the invitations.

    Good luck!

    Hi there,

    Based on the error message I would say that there was no e-mail address available in the last action Sending the survey. Is it possible you're missing the e-mail address on the account/contact records you were testing?

    Hi :)

    I thought that too - but I've checked the account we put the ticket through - one of our test ones - and there is an email address assigned to it. See below.

    I've compared your flow with the original from the template and it looks like you've changed same fields that may cause this error.

    That's quite weird, as I didn't change the template at all (for fear it'd break! ha!) but if I search for those fields, I don't have them.

    I'll try Account Type and see if that yields different results.

    In the Get record 2 action you must use the Contact (contactid) field in the Item identifier box.
