Dear all,

I've just installed AX 2012 Feature pack from partner source.

The Initialization checklist reset after I provided the license information. The check list cannot complete.

Anyone face this issue? Please help me.

Hello, can you be more specific about the issue you are facing.

What do you mean by initialization checklist reset? Is it a crash?

    Which version of AX 2012

Did you do the compilation? Any errors in event viewer?

Able to log inside the application?

Please download the Ax 2012 installation guide for the reference.

    Hi,

It looks like there was a gap in the testing of the Ax 2012 Feature pack release, it seems that if you do NOT include retail functionality when you install no items on your checklist will be marked as complete - worst part is the mandatory synchronization. It will actually complete a synchronization, but will not mark it as complete so it will not be possible to continue.

Either the full retail modules must be chosen, a record manually added to the database to complete the check mark or out comment out the code that looks for the retail tables as well as the syslog table.

It sounds like the same issue you have experienced - at least if you can confirm that you did not choose to install the retail functions.

    Regards.

Any updates on this? I have not been able to find a solution for this anywhere on customersource or various websites.

    Which checklist?

I had a problem with data upgrade checklist (upgrade AX2012->AX2012FP) because of user data in my database (migration process wasn't able to create some unique indexes). I finished that manually (checked upgrade batch job, update/delete some user data and created indexes) and insert this manually to finish the process:

    insert into retailsetuplog(name,description,retailbuild,createddatetime,createdby,recversion,recid,del_createdtime) values('SysCheckList_Upgrade','Finished','6.1.1108.0','2012-02-15 21:10:00.000','Admin',1,5637144832,79604)

(check you retailsetuplog table for the proper values)

    Hi everyone!

We faced the very same problem. And found out that it was caused by an "old" license file. After the launch of AX 2012 for retail there are some differences in the licenses (e.g. there's another module "Retail Headquarters").

To fix the problem with the checklist just get a new license file (@VOICE) and use this one.

    Regards.

Dear to Install Ax2012FP or Upgrade from Ax2012 -> FP the workaround is

Install, Compile, Do Not Import License in Initialization List. Once All List is completed. Close and Open Axapta and Input License from Administration Module. It will resolve the Resetting issue in Compiling.

But Retail will not be usable . To Use Retail use the above mentioned steps to get updated License from @VOICE

open provide license form in the check list, delete all license information , sync ... cheklist will be activated again ... later u should provide a appropriate license key for FP

We experienced the same issue. Load up a new license with retail included and the checklist issues go away, all checks are applied as it should be then ...

H2043.fig1.png"background-color: #ffff00;">Unable to edit or create item in RetailinventTable

We didn't buy license for Retail but looks like the feature pack includes this functionality as can be seen "Retail POS redeployment checklist"

    pls help.

Actually the Retail POS Deployment checklist is not mandatory for creating items, but I hope you have already done the full compilation and CIL generation and then synchronized the Application & DB.
