Contoso data is not available in financial period close in D365 F&O

Dear Experts,

I am using demo server with Contoso data, however there is no data available in the task list and could not find any transaction although I have system admin role. Please suggest do I need to perform the full year-end process in order to show(see) the functionality, as shown below:

Hi,

Maybe all might be closed. Please check if there are closed. You can manually create tasks here.

Hi Poonam,

The demo database does not have records in this feature by default. You can go to the Demo data menu and open a job to Generate data. Here you have an option to create data for the Financial period close page. It will then create some tasks for the current month. On the page, you can then choose a closing schedule before you see the tasks. If you need other tasks, they first need to be set up.
