Hello,

I am new to AX and have been tasked with making a design change to an existing custom SSRS report. Looking at other posts I've read to open the report using visual studio by right clicking on it in visual studio. This report doesn't show up under the visual studio projects Dynamics AX Model projects. It does show up in the AOT under SSRS Reports->Reports but I have no idea how to edit it. Can someone please give me a little guidance on this one????

Hi,

To edit the report design, navigate to the node Reports of SSRS reports in the Application Explorer(View > Application Explorer).
In the example below, I am trying to access design of report SalesInvoice. So right click on SalesInvoice report and choose edit option. Then you can edit the design by right click and choosing edit using designer option(as shown below).

Reason being you are unable to find the report under visual studio projects is that its not deployed. So, do the same steps as above for your report, then build the solution, deploy the report from visual studio and add it to AOT.

Thank you, That did get it to open up in the designer! I spent a couple hours getting frustrated, I appreciate your help :)
