I have a query regarding the Actual CLose date please.
Our finance team has advised that they need to complete their new billing process within 1 day of the new month. Currently, they need a minimum of 3 days to complete new billing with contract checks etc in place.
They have asked me to restrict the sales team from being able to close the new business after the 25th of each month. While communication will be sent out to the sales team about this, I still see a number of sales members potentially closing a deal on the 27th of a month but adding in an actual close date in the system as the 25th
So I wonder, is it possible to limit sales access to changing the actual close date? I guess I could run a business rule to lock the field?
Secondly, is it possible to restrict sales from closing new business during a certain period of time? A thought I had was removing the won button from the 25th of each month but thats an admin burden that I may forget to do or forget to turn it back on also.
Any suggestions are welcome.
