Hi Friends,
I have one problem when publishing data through excel Add-in for F/O.I have a entity HcmEmploymentV2 which i am using for exporting data from excel to d365 application.
When i enter a new record in excel and then click on publish button the message "Data changes analyzed" is displayed but its not publishing the data.I tried to add all the required fields and then publish data but still the same thing happens.
Please help me on this.
Thank you
Badri
Hi Badri,
Can you tell which exact columns are made visible on the Excel sheet and which fields do have what values filled?
You need to click on the first row and then select New button from the right side of the excel.
Add the new records and then click on publish.
Thanks,
Girish S.
Hi Andre,
Thanks for your reply.

Thanks Girish. Now its publishing the record but its throwing this error.

Infolog: Info: Cannot edit a record in Worker calendar assignment (WorkCalendarEmployment). Employment: Badri Narayanan USSI 4/27/2023 10:53:26 am 12/31/2154 11:59:59 pm, Standard. The record already exists..'

I think we already discussed this in this thread. https://community.dynamics.com/365/financeandoperations/f/dynamics-365-for-finance-and-operations-forum/485650/error-while-importing-data-from-excel-addin-for-hcmemployment-entity/1337229.
I think we already given more suggestions.in the above thread.
You can do one thing, create a runnable class and use that HcmEmploymentV2 entity and insert that employee on that HcmEmploymentV2 entity. So that you can debug the code and find out which Employment Id in WorCalendarEmployment Table is causing the issue.
Hey Girish,
As suggested i debugged it in the build environment.Actually it had a RECID being created in another company. So whenever we were creating a new record it was creating based on the RECID and hence it was getting duplicated. So i removed that record from SQL and tried to insert again in Excel Add-in and it worked. Now i am able to import data from excel Add-in to F/O.
Your suggestion points were directly helpful to resolving the issue i could not thank you enough. Thanks a lot.
Great!
