How is used the "Document date" on Purchase order receipt screen ?

Hi,

Does anyone know how is used the "document date" in PO receipt ?

"Product receipt date" is the one used as PR document date and also for accounting entries (accruals) so I don't understand if we must fill something or not there (I tried but didn't find any place where the document date I filled in is used..).

Hi Lionel,

Lucas forwarded an older post with the same question where I responded before. The document date is used for tax postings. Does this answer your question?

Hi André,

Yes, it's also what I saw in the help text but at the time of PO receipt, tax posting does not make sens so I don't understand the reason why this field is proposed to be filled in.
