Hi experts,
Recently I has an issue whereby users can not use "Open in excel" for composites data entities for users hold "Data migration admin" role. They can access Composites data entities from Data management workspace but cannot see those entities from "Open in excel" menu. please advise.

    Hi,

What are the composite entities that you can't see? Are they standard or custom? And if they are custom, did you create privileges for them and assigned them to the data migration role? If not, then make sure the role has access to those entities

Also can you see them using a different role?

    Hi Layan Jwei,
the data entity that users cannot see is Inventory adjustment journal headers and lines V2, however user can see Inventory movement journal headers and lines V4 from "Open in excel". it is a standard items and I did not create new privilege for it. I had try to assigned "Data migration administrator" , "IT manager" to users but unsuccessful.

Note that this thread isn't about composite data entities at all.

Composite entities aren't exposed via OData, and because Open in Excel uses OData, they can't be used there either. They're supported in data management only.

Both InventInventoryMovementJournalEntryV4Entity and InventInventoryAdjustmentJournalEntryV2Entity are normal data entities, not composite ones.

Access to InventInventoryAdjustmentJournalEntryV2Entity is granted by two privileges: InventInventoryAdjustmentJournalEntryEntityExport and InventInventoryAdjustmentJournalEntryEntityImport. But it won't work even if you assign them to users, because they have Integration Mode = Data Management, therefore they don't give permissions to OData. You'll have to create new privileges.
