Unable to edit formula column once saved

I've recently started using /formula/ columns rather than calculated columns on a some custom Dataverse tables.

The problem I have is I don't seem to be able to edit the Power Fx formula once the column has been saved? Surely this should be possible?

If I need to update the formula, I'm having to delete the column and re-create, which is a pain as it first involves removing the column from any views and forms etc before no dependencies exist.

I get this is still a new feature, but is this a problem I'm experiencing or are we still waiting for edit functionality to be enabled?

Here's an example:

Save the column, it appears in the column list with a /FX/ indicator after the datatype:

When editing the column after saving, there's no option to edit the formula:

    Hi Partner,
    This is not expected behavior.
I can edit formula column after saving it.
    Based on the Microsoft documentation:
The formula that you enter determines the column type. You can't change a column type after the column is created. That means you can change the formula after you've created the column only if it doesn't change the column type.

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it answer your question! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah

    Hey!

I'm also able to repro. Microsoft Support already has a request with this topic.

Thanks, useful to know I'm not alone.

When you say "Microsoft Support already has a request with this topic" - where do I see the status of that/track the outcome?

    Thanks

I can confirm, that formula edit is usually not available.
Couple of times I could get it to show up, by using "move left" and "move right" on column, but it works randomly. Seems like a bug.

    I tried it on Chrome 122.0.6261.112, and Edge 122.0.2365.80, Windows 10 22H2 19045.3930

I've managed to find a workaround.

So, it appears I can access/edit the formula assuming it's the first thing I do on refreshing the power apps maker page.

So I hit F5, then edit the column and can see the formula. Once saved/if you do anything else you'll need to refresh again before you can get back to the formula:

So in the case of here, I simply refresh the browser to force the table columns to reload. And then as soon as the screen reloads, I click on the formula-driven column, I can see the formula/edit it:

I've scheduled a call with MS support to screenshare in the hope they acknowledge this is a bug and not user error :P
