Hi,

Is there any option to have this application on my PC? I'm running it from hololens and my phone but it's extremely uncomfortable.

I have the same question (0)

think first of all you should install software.Computers, especially those running on Windows, can easily become corrupt and slow over time. Mac computers surely fall prey to slowdowns and errors much more seldom than Windows devices. But still Macs can get cluttered too, especially when several years in service.I don't know if you have a Mac or Windows but in any case I advise you to install it. For choosing of software I advise you to read this article (.https://thinkmobiles.com/blog/best-pc-optimization-software/), and select the tool you need. I found Glary Utilities after reading it. In General, it is very convenient to compare what you need and what you can afford financially. I hope this helps you.

    Hi Guldier,

We will take another look at the Remote Assist documentation to be certain that instructions are clear.

    Thanks for reaching out.

Thank you for help. I think it should be placed somewhere in the manual. As you can see it is not so obvious for everyone.

Ah, now I understand. The remote person uses Remote Assist on Hololens or Remote Assist Mobile. The expert uses Teams and assists with annotations (draw or position arrows), in the case of a remote Hololens the expert can even share desktop or documents that are projected onto the Hololens.

As I understand it, one of the uses of the application is to help a person in the field. If my field worker using hololens is trying to connect with me for help I would like to be able to give him help from a PC level instead of a phone. I may have twisted some information, but to be able to communicate with him this way I would need to have a Remote Assist on a PC. Sharing my image is not my concern.

I'm afraid that sharing your laptop camera view with a remote expert would not provide a better experience. If you don't need annotations though, you could simply use Teams.

Why is Remote Assist on a mobile phone uncomfortable?
