Hi everyone,

I tried to find the Expense lines (Merchant and Purpose) fields in the Work Item Instructions placeholders but I couldn't locate them how can I add these fields?
Should this be done through X++ customization? If so could you please guide me on how to achieve it?

Thank you!

    Hi,

If it isnt to be found, then you need to customize it through x++. I am not a developer, so I cant give you advise. The only thing I can tell you, it is more likely that someone helps you directly, if you share some code where you stuck or at least some kind of your progress. I would start by debugging the code to see how the fields that are available are linked\joined and then try to link it to Merchants\Purpose.

I think I know your answer, but for all others who are interested in a low code solution. I would try to send the instructions not from the workflow engine, but from a dataverse connection in Power automate that is linked to the work item. Once you have some information from the expense line, you may link it to the fields you desire.

    Kind regards, Adis

If the fields are in the table, you can add them to the query of workflow using extension. You can get query name from workflow type properties in the VS.

I have added that fields to the TrvWorkflowExpLines Query by using Query Extenstions.
