Inquiry about External Storage - Document Attachments

We are looking into using external storage for Business Central document attachments and I've come across this upcoming feature: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6sH2u4jt-ow

I'd like to verify how can I have this feature set to our environment.  I can already connect an Azure storage, but the File Scenario on the demo video is not existing.  Do I need to retrieve the extension files from the GitHub link provided and publish it to our environment or is there another way to have this feature tested?
I have the same question (0)

There are a few free solutions on AppSource for connecting your Document Attachments to SharePoint.  We use DocXtender from Insight Works and it works well.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,
No you normally don’t need to publish GitHub extension files just to test it. If Azure Storage is connected but no File Scenario appears, it usually means your current BC app/version doesn’t yet include a feature that exposes a scenario for external file storage. The Azure connection alone is only the connector/framework part; the scenario shows up only when an installed Business Central app implements it. So the practical answer is: check your BC version/update first, because this feature framework is tied to newer releases, and if the document attachment scenario is not in your version yet, you won’t see it just by connecting storage.

    Hi @peto,

I had same issue and even the verified answers given here did not help, so what I found is that I am missing an extension called External Storage - Documents Attachments by Microsoft. In some cases its not installed. You can find it on Microsoft Apps. After installing it the issue is resolved.
