Dear Experts,

Following my last question, I have agreed with customer to modify the Fixed Asset Excel add-in template.

I am trying to find the  template Organization administration- setup- Office Integration- Document templates.

However, I cant find the template there, what might be the reason, how can I solve this?

I already run the option 'download system templates' no luck.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Ramit,

There are not templates for all data entities. You can actually create your own template and upload it on the Document templates form. Then it becomes available as additional option for 'Open in Excel'. If there is no template, a default 'Open in Excel' for the entity will be listed based on the data entity itself.

    Hi Ramit,

You can add your custom template, refer to the following blog:

Thank you Andre, I did not get the last one you mentioned.

If there is no template, a default template is there? if so, how can I see that?

And If I want to create a template, does that mean, that template will be visible for all spaces, or I can only specify that will be visible in particular form only?

    Hello Ramit,

Templates can be limited for specific companies, specific countries/regions and languages and combinations of those criteria.

Simply open the document templates form and hit NEW to see these options.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ramit,

If there is a data entity which matches a form data source, then you will have the option for 'Export to Excel' without using the templates. That is what I intended to mention.

    Hi Ramit,

When a template listed in the Common > Common > Office integration > Document templates form (DocuTemplate) has ShowInOpenInOfficeMenu set to Yes and has the same root datasource (table) as the current form, it will be added as an option in the Open in Excel section of the Open in Microsoft Office menu.
