Equipment entity access on navigation and on custom entities

Hello Team,

I'm facing an issue regarding Equipment entity.

I have created new app and placed Equipment entity in the sitemap of new app. Somehow that's not getting visible in navigation bar. Moreover, lookup of Equipment entity also showing disabled on any custom entity.

Your guidance is required to solve this issue.

Hello Francisco Murtinheira,

I have tried this in actual dev environment but I'm unable to enable this entity for mobile by modifying customization.xml. I have already raised ticket with Microsoft since 20 days but haven't received any solution till now.

Hello Hitesh,

I just tried on a trial instance today, and I was able to create a new App and add the Facilities/Equipment entity to it. It works correctly so I don't think there are any restrictions on this entity.

For reference my entity settings are like this out of the box.

If the entity still does not appear for you, then I would advise opening a ticket with Microsoft Support, so they can investigate further.

I have enabled below flags in customizations.xml related to mobile, although Equipment entity is not getting visible.

<IsVisibleInMobile>1</IsVisibleInMobile>

<IsVisibleInMobileClient>1</IsVisibleInMobileClient>

Is this entity restricted to any modules/apps.? can you please let me know.

Hello Hitesh,

It is possible to change the mobile flags, by exporting your entity in an unmanaged solution, and then looking for the flags inside the customizations.xml file. You can make the change there and then import the solution back and publish.

Another alternative would also be to perform a web api request, to change the flag with a PATCH.

However, I would advise you to open a ticket with Microsoft support, so they can guide through these options.

Hello Francisco Murtinheira,

I'm unable to make it mobile enabled as the checkbox to do so is Disabled. Please find screenshot for same.

Is there any other way to enable it ?

Hello Hitesh,

Is your entity marked for Mobile usage ?

This setting is needed if you want your entities to work in UCI applications.
