"D365 App for Outlook" navigation bar not showing in outlook

We are looking to implement the "D365 App for Outlook". When I click on the Dynamics 365 in the Outlook toolbar, I do not see the main Navigation bar on the "D365 App for Outlook" App.

This is what I am expecting to see:

But here is what I see without the Navigation bar:

It’s so strange.

The navigation bar should display in the app for outlook pane by default.

Maybe you can try to add it to the user again.

Hello,

By default the Navigation Bar should appear in the app.

docs.microsoft.com/.../overview

I would suggest you to open a support case with Microsoft, so they can validate if it's a problem related with your environment / setup.

Hello David,

This is how the App for outlook loaded in on prem 8.2. You can see the same in this short demo video: Tap the power of Microsoft Dynamics 365 directly from Microsoft Outlook - YouTube

Since you are on version 8.2.4.6 this is by design. Please upgrade to version 9 for the full app experience.

Have users install App for Outlook themselves

From your app, go to Settings > Advanced Settings.

Select the Settings button. , again and then select Apps for Dynamics 365 apps.

In the Apps for Dynamics 365 apps screen, under Dynamics 365 App for Outlook, users select Add app to Outlook.
