how to populate a ddlist at run time

Posted on by 5,124

In Purchase Order List page, I want to add a group with DDLIST that I want to populate at runtime.  Can this be done?  I looked all over the net for such task but can't find any.  Please help!

Oh! DDLIST is dropdown list.  for some reason, I can't find a way to create ddlist on the fly.  I was hoping to use PO List and just modify it.  Note that PO List is opened as a LIST in the menu.  I think that was the problem.  I ended up creating a dup of PO list but this time, set it to EDIT Mode.  Then in the menu, open it as TASK.  Then the Global Var I created and set lookup to a source table, showed up as editable ddlist.
