To Move Dynamics 365 LCS Tenant to new Tenant on Azure (Along with all customization & API

Hi,

It will be wonderful if we could get the resolution from your end on below requirement:

In one of one Tenants hosted on “@onmicrosft.com”, our ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 has been activated and running with Production, UAT and Development environments.
The above mentioned D365 environment has supposed to be merged with our another existing Tenant where our Microsoft Entra IDs (Azure Ads) are mapped. They are in “@orixindia.com”.
Now to do this merger or migration, we need to check the impact and risk factors associated with this migration.

Please let us know the steps to do this RCA before moving for actual Tenant to Tenant Migration in Azure.

Your quick response to it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Vikrum,

We have done this kind of migration.

I will draft some point:

Get the AAD created as orixindia.onmicrosoft.com

Get the get the verification Done of the domain name orixindia.com under as orixindia.onmicrosoft.com

Get the Valid Azure Subscription (Dev/Test Pay as you go)

Open LCS and validate Azure Connector to deploy CHE.

Deploy a Dev CHE.

From Old LCS, export the DB and download deployable package.

Once CHE is ready in new LCS>> Import the DB and upload deployable package

Validate all Check Point, API, Downtime calculation, deployable package, etc.

Also, just FYI if both the companies have AAD then oldcompany.onmicrosoft.com you will have below screen else if orixindia.com does not have AAD then you can get on as orixindia.onmicrosoft.com and get orixindia.com verified under the "Custom Domain names" as below.
