Missing Time Display when Dragging & Dropping Bookings on New Field Service Schedule Board

Posted on by 6

In the old version of the schedule board, whenever you would drag and drop a booking, the start time associated with the booking in regards to where it would be released from the drag and drop action would be displayed as you moved it around.
In the new version of the schedule board, this time display seems to be missing during the drag and drop process. It's a small detail, but this feature seems to be a must for my clients, especially when managing bookings in a compact weekly view for over 100 resources.

The absence of this feature in the new version of the schedule board does feel a bit inconvenient, as it requires an extra step to check the timing before finalizing the placement of the booking.

I have attached pictures displaying the behavior of the old schedule board above and the new scheduling board below

    Hello RudyZhang and Daniël Koning,

@Daniël Koning Thanks for asking this question! we encountered the same problem. Almost as if we had the same customer! ;)

@Rudy Zhang, Thanks for your answer! I did a quick test and this feature has indeed been made possible again with the new release wave 2 of 2023.

    Hi,

Based on the information you provided, our team tried to reproduce your error, but during the reproduction process, we found that there is an event displayed when dragging and dropping the Requirement to the "schedule board", but not when moving on the "schedule board".

We have enabled the 2023 wave 2 update on our test environment, you can also try to enable this update on your environment, it may help to solve your issue.

We recommend that you back up your current environment's data when working on your environment, as this will prevent you from incurring unnecessary damage.

Also, if this issue persists after you update, you can try contacting Microsoft technical support using the link below.
