Hi,I want to implement some logic in staging table, something like group several records into one record before import. Is it possible? If yes, where I should do it (in which method) ?Kind regards,Roman
I don't think that it would be the correct solution to your requirement.
Try to modify the data either before the import, or import it in a new intermediary table and modify it there before processing it to actual D365 tables.
Yes, that's what I mean.
You should modify the data either before importing it, or after importing it. But during the data entity import process might not be a good place for such changes.
Yes, I understand your idea of how to implement it better, but it is a very long development process. Any other ideas?
Hi Roman,
I don't agree that it's a "very long development process".
You need to create one new table, new form, new data entity. This should be perhaps a couple of hours of pure development work.
Then you need to develop the logic for manipulating the data. This you would need anyway, right?
Yes, I have other idea which I already suggested: fix the data already before it's imported.
Hi, Roman,
Also you can insert your logic to static method postGetStagingData on dataEntity, where you can modify records witch depending on Execution group. See example in CustCustomerV3Entity.
Thanks, this is exactly what I looking for!
