We have too many general journals in our system which we have to post. What i am doing is scheduling batch job which post them.  Following are the steps which i am performing:

1. Create few thousand General Journals.
2. Go to General Ledger -> Journal entries -> Post Journals.
3. Click on select and give some criteria to select General Journals and click Ok.
4. Now go to "Run in the background" tab.
5. Set Batch Processing to Yes.

I have checked LCS there is no load in AOS but my batch job is processing very slow.I have multiple AOS and i am scheduling each batch job on different AOS server. Is there any thing i can do improve batch performance?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Do you have to post thousands of journals on a daily basis or is this a one time event?

If it is a one time event I wouldn't bother too much with performance because it should not happen again and if you have the journals posted a couple of hours later, I don't see a major issue.

What is your main concern assuming that this is a one time event?

    Best regards

    Ludwig

There is a white papers on batch journal posting www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

It's about 2009 but should work in 365, it allows you to split journal into several subjornals and post them in parallel

    Hi DynAX90,

Were you able to resolve this issue? I am currently having the same issue that when I am posting multiple journals at the same time in batch it creates multiple tasks but 90% time posting happens in series which is one after the other. Did you manage to resolve this issue?
