Hello Friends,

I'm trying to grant access for user to be able to print checks, but under User Security\Security Role Setup window I do not see user name under Security Task ID start with the CNV_John_Company name. Also, on lower right side drop down list by Alternate/Modified Forms and reports ID: I see different user name but not that one I selected. Below is print screen example.

Please advise...

Thanks,

Jay

For providing access to printing checks the user should have access to the following tasks:

    _POST THROUGH GL

    _RPT_PURCH_003*

    _RPT_PURCH_004*

    _TRX_PURCH_011*

    _TRX_PURCH_014*

    _TRX_PURCH_015*

    _TRX_PURCH_016*

    _TRX_PURCH_023*

    DEFAULTUSER

You got to check which of the  security roles  you listed grant access to above security tasks, and then assign that security role to the user.  A script can be written to identify the security roles provides access to the security tasks.

    Cheers!

    Sanjay

Did you check the User Access screen to make sure that the user has access to that company?

Is there a way to look at the other users access that have already access to print check? I do know users that already have access to print check.

We use 3rd party tool MICR and Inter company to print checks.

    Thanks,

    Jay

the best way to handle such task is to check the sepurity roles granted to existing gp user with the same privileges,

the script blew by Victoria yudin helps you find out what you are looking for,

-- for mekroma you need to give access to alternate windows.

    KB article 77

-- for finding out what roles you need to give to the user use this script:

select * from SY10500 where USERID = 'user who has access'

    Cheers!
