Issue with Email Delivery Failure for Specific Customers in SSRS Batch Job – Dynamics 365 F&O

Hi everyone,

I'm facing an issue in D365 Finance & Operations when sending an SSRS report via batch job to over 1000 customers. For 993 customers, the email status is "Success," but for 28 specific customers, the batch throws an exception and fails to send the emails.

All customer email addresses have been validated and are correct.

Interestingly, a different SSRS report was recently sent to all customers (including these 28) through a similar batch job, and in that case, the emails were delivered successfully.

Upon reviewing the exception, we found the following error:

Can anyone help me understand what this exception means and how I can resolve or prevent it in future batch runs?

    The error is quite generic and doesn't explain the real issue. Maybe limits for how many emails may be sent in short time are the culprit. I have seen that before, where at that time an Exchange server stopped it as it was preventing itself from being seen as spammer. Retry settings on the email settings in Dynamics 365 can be used. The next batch run, it will then retry to send these messages.

    A few questions:
    1. Have you checked the purpose (Invoice, Business etc.) attached to the email address of customers? 
    2. Have you checked if there are any whitespaces in email addresses attached to customers or any invalid characters?
    3. Is this a Form Letter framework based report?
     
    Also, in the batch job you need to mention the parameter with respect to purposes based on which emails can be sent across to customers. Screen clip is a reference for the same. Looks like for those 28 customers the purposes are different.
