    Hi David,

    Thanks for quick reply.

I tried suggested steps for configuration required for number sequence but It didn't worked for me. I don't know how to set number sequence for Party and Location Id in Address book, which is suggested in one post of suggested link.

    Regards,

    Hi Manish,

You can use this link to set up the number sequences technet.microsoft.com/.../hh242127.aspx and following the set up individual number sequences

You will need to create 2 number sequences, one for the Party and one for Location Id.  While creating the number sequence, you need to specify the Reference which is how you relate the number sequence to the Party and Location Id.  For the Party Number sequence you should add a reference and pick Area = 'Address Book' and Reference = 'Party Id'.  For the Location Id you should add a reference and pick Area = 'Address Book' and Reference = 'Location Id'.

Is this a new company or new instance of AX?  These number sequences are usually set up during the installation by running the number sequence wizard.

    Dear

i am facing the same issue but i am thinking that this caused by someone accidentally deleting the party and location id number sequence,

does AX allow a user to delete these number sequence if they were already created
