There are around 100 items, in a list of about 1 million, that i would like to delete from the Items List in Business Central. Is there a way to delete these items as a chunk/group/selection, rather than deleting them one-by-one? Deleting 10 already takes a while. What if I needed to delete more than 100, like 1000?
Hi, Inge. Thank you very much for confirming, I tried your method in BC20.5, but only deleted the last one, maybe my test is incorrect?
Thanks.

Hi, Inge, as far as I know, this kind of List page with Card page, if you select multiple lines, Delete will be grey out and cannot be selected.
No Card page:
So I personally recommend using Configuration Package.

[/quote]It is greyed out in the ribbon but delete is available in the context menu that is shown when you select the 3 horizontal dots.
So go to the context menu and chose select more the first time. When you have selected all you want to delete you go back to the same menu and chose delete.
Thank you, i will try from configuration package as mention from a few other as well in this post.
Yes, as Yun mentioned, I tried this way and the delete was greyed out after selecting multiple lines. Thank you though.
Hi,
Adding more info.
Yes you can delete those items if you dont have any Stock with any of those items.
And as other mentioned you can go with Config. Package, or consult with your Developer to create a Batch report to do so.
Thahnks.

From the Item list you can chose select more and mark all the items you want to delete. You do not have to go through configuration package to do this.
If you try to delete items with transactions the system will stop you from doing that.
Be very, very careful. You must do your filters exactly correct.
Yes you can do it by using the configuration packages in business central
