I have to install kernel updates(binary updates) on AX2012 R3 CU10 installations. So below steps i performed.. i have done usual drill. Backup, iahve admin access , admin in DB as well
1. download CU13 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=55946
2. Extracted files
3. I ran axupdate folder then accept terms and conditions , now i selected install updates? then when i click browse i dont see related files, these files i should copy from LCS i believe. please correct me if i am wrong. I am a freelancer dnt have access to download updates from LCS.

Hi,
you need a partner or customer source attached Live ID to access LCS using the AxUpdater (or the package which was downloaded by a person which has access)
If your customer has a valid service plan, ask him to give you an customer source account.
Or ask the official partner to download the package or (optional) any post cu13 binary fix only full package, extract this and install from this.
Direct CUs binaries (exactly version from the CU) can oly be installed using the lcs axupdater installer (or from a slistreamed setup dvd image)
sorry, but 'freelancer' without lcs access seems to be not an good option.
You have to ask the customer (or partner) for an access.
