Language change at Legal Entity level

Hi,

Is there any way through which we can change the language based on Legal Entity. (e.g. English for UK and Japanese for Japan)

I tried in the following two ways:

1. Settings > User options > Preferences > Language

 But it is changing the language at user specific level

2. Organization Administration > Legal Entities > Language

  This is not changing anything.

Please advice.

    The UI language is based on user setup.

    The legal entity language can be used to automatically fill in the language field when you create the new records(eg. employee).

    What expected scenario are you looking for?

    Hi MATTGUO,

    The requirement is to have legal entity specific language.

    The organisation is across the globe so based on the country (legal entity) the language should be configured. As stated in the previous e.g. for Japan LE they want Japanese as the language and for France LE they want French. Hope the question is clear now.

    HI,

    As i said previous, the UI language is based on user language. The UI language could not be changed according to the legal entity language.

    Hi Poonam,

    The language can't be tied to a legal entity. Suppose, I have to contribute on your implementation project, then I can't understand Japanese and most of the French words are not familiar to me. In that case, I have my own user language and can help in e.g. English or Dutch.

    I do think most users will be tied to at least one legal entity. Then you can default the language per user. A user can change it on the user options or also via a URL parameter.

    I have written some blog posts related to user languages in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. These are partly valid for Human Resources. Note that the customization part is not applicable to Human Resources:
