Electronic Reporting Mapping Invoice LineNumber reports incorrect data

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport

Hello all,

I am using the Electronic Reporting Invoice Model mapping for Line Number(LineNum) found at:
CustInvoiceJour // $CustInoviceTrans_OrderByLineSeqNum // Line creation sequence number(LineCreationSequenceNumber)
in my MS Word Free Text Invoice.

Originally when I added this data to the Invoice Lines Table it was fine:

But after recreating the Invoice Lines table, now the data is filled with seemingly random numbers:

Anyone experience this and have a solution?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi ,
Can you provide more info on how you have created $CustInoviceTrans_OrderByLineSeqNum?
Ref to the lnvoice line table, it seems that either you have not used LineNum, in you formular or after recreating the Invoice Lines Table, you have overwritten some values.

    ORDERBY(CustInoviceTrans,
    CustInoviceTrans.LineNum)

    Hello Alireza,

Thanks for reading and replying to my post and contributing to the discussion! Much appreciated.

     $CustInoviceTrans_OrderByLineSeqNum

Is provided by Microsoft, and in their data source the formula they provide for it is:
    @=CustInvoiceJour

    ORDERBY(
        "Query",
        @.'<Relations'.CustInvoiceTrans,
        @.'<Relations'.CustInvoiceTrans.LineCreationSequenceNumber
    )
Now with a Microsoft Senior Support Engineer I've also tried:
    ORDERBY(
    "Query", @.'<Relations'.CustInvoiceTrans, @.'<Relations'.CustInvoiceTrans.LineNum )

That just results in my Free text inovice lines coming out in a different order, but with incorrect data.

Note also we checked in the debugger, and that data like 79012845 instead of line 1 show in the debugger.

    Hi Jim,
Can you elaborate about the result once you have created orderby fomular on "LineNum"? Where have you created this formular? on model mapping or on word template mapping?
Please check on your word template you do not use any formatting of records.

    Hello again Alireza,

See my original post: "I am using the Electronic Reporting Invoice Model mapping for Line Number(LineNum) found .." This is the Invoice Model Mapping that comes directly from Microsoft on RCS.

    Hi Jim,
I have tested in my standard environment and the orderby formular on LineNum works for me.
Have you tried to run this report on debugging mode to check if you get the exact value on your word template?

    Hello Alireza,

Thanks for continuing to dig in and try to help on this issue, for my benefit and the benefit of the community.

If you leave the template as default, it will work. but once I configured the template the way our accounting team wanted to see it, then the output became bad.

Update on this issue: I have an open Microsoft support ticket on this as well, and working with a Sr Support engineer at Microsoft they have not yet been able to solve the issue, and the problem has been escalated there.

Maybe this will be fixed in an upcoming release, when I hear back from Microsoft I'll update here for the record and benefit of the community.

    Hi Jim,
    It sounds great.
I think that there can be Cell format on your template side that may cause this issue, therefore I mean that run this report on ER Debug mode can help you understand better which value is generated in model mapping that will be populated on your template.

    Hello Alireza,

Yeah, I did the debug mode starting at the mapping and I ran through that with the Sr MSFT support engineer as well.  The garbage data comes through.  It's been with their product group for a week now, so maybe in the new year we'll have some news on the weird behaviour to share here for the benefit of the community.
