Hi Victor, I guess you want to reverse a Transfer order which has been shipped but not received and it's currently sitting in a transit warehouse. What I usually do is just receive the required qty and then ship it back to the original warehouse (using a transfer order or a transfer journal). I haven't found any native AX functionality allowing you to reverse a shipped transfer order.
This solution is wrong... Imagine I have two warehouses W1 and W2.... I ship 100 units to W1 and 100 to W2 physically ....and in system i entered / shipped by mistake both to W1...
By the solution you are suggesting I have to recieve the shipment at W1 and then against a new TO ship it to W2...
at the end of the month / quarter / year my reports will indicate shipment reception of 200 units at W1 (which actually never happened) and also logistics transfer / cost of W1 to W2 for those 100 units on that particular date which also never happened
So by mistake you did the following:
1. Entered it incorrectly
2. Picked it incorrectly
3. Registered the pick incorrectly
4. Confirmed it onto the shipment incorrectly.
There are four steps in this process that you physically undertake and after getting it wrong on the fourth you have to receive and reverse. Whilst it would be nice to have an undo it is not there, so if you want it you have two choices - manually process it thorough or customize and build in an undo. However you should review your business processes as well.
Its not about making repeated mistakes. There was fire on the way to W1. There could be no man power at W1 or there was immediate need at W2 so i shifted order on the way or forget W2 .. i just called back the truck to the factory and never sent it ...the truck broke...there was an accident...anything can happen....there was a robbery on the truck etc. But in any means the inventory never got at W1 so why would i make a virtual entry in the system

This is something which every "STANDARD" erp offers. Have used in "SAP" for sure....
For the rest on the 80/20 fire robberies.... That's a one off case in let say 3 , 4 months but there can be operational diversions.....
The system should not be built upon virtual entries..
Yes, will suggest the same to Microsoft because with my experience with oracle, SAP ...dynamics has a long way to go.
