Invalid Field/Related field combination error in General Ledger total account view

Hi everyone,

I've created 3 main accounts like below in AX 2012

Main account	Name	Main account type
11199	Total cash	Total
11020	Cash	Asset
11030	Foreign cash	Asset

I've also setup Main account 11199 included 11020 and 11030.

I went to General Ledgers --> Common --> Main account to open Main account list page. On Main account list page, I chose account 11199 and clicked on button Total accounts, the following error appeared:

Invalid Field/Related field combination

Has anyone faced this issue before?

Please help me.

Hi Amrenda,

Can you sent us a screenshot that shows how you setup the total account 11199 and what you clicked on once you got the error message?

Hi Ludwig Reinhard thanks for your reply,The account combination is Mainaccount,Division,Costcenter,Location. After selecting the Mainaccount when ever am trying to select the rest of the fields am getting "Invalid Field/Related field combination." please give me a solution. Thanks in advance.

Hi srinath reddy,

Please do not enter the text in the tag box as it is confusing. I just fixed that for you.

Regarding the error mesage shown above, can you confirm that the account that you want to enter in the journal is a total account?

Hi After selecting the MainAccount am trying to select the Business unit in the Journal Voucher form for the Account or Offset account field that time am getting "Invalid Field/Related field combination."

Hi srinath reddy,

Can you Show us the account type that is linked to the maint account that you use.

If it is a total account the error message is understandable, as total accounts cannot be used for posting.

Please check your main account setup and let us know.

This is not a total account this is linked to Asset.

Hi guys

I had a similar issue on the CustTable form (customer detail) after a release to PRD.

Even though i had reset the GlobalGUID, in SysSQMSettings, to reset global cache foreveryone, i still had to delete all the *AUC files in the %appdata% folder for this user.

After that it was solved.

Its because of the wrong relation in for the FormParts in the listpage.
