Creation of Prospect to both Vendor and Customer

Is there any way to convert the Prospect to both vendor and customer in AX 2012 R3? Currently am able to convert to only record from Prospect. I think its standard behavior of AX. But what if I want to create both vendor and customer record? Plz suggest if anyone has solution for this.

I got a work around. Convert to Vendor record. Then create Sales/Project quotation from Prospect record and in the quotation form, convert the prospect to Customer. But this seems tedious work around.
