Should the IDMF installation for AX2012 R3 create a model database?

I installed IDMF version 2.0.29 for AX2012 R3 and 2 databases were created: and IDMF database and an archive database.  No archive model database was created.  The installation guide states "You must configure an Application Object Server (AOS) instance to connect with the archive database to view archived transactions."  The connection I attempted fails because there isn't a model.

How can I connect to the archive?
