Hi,
I want to know how we can lend the fixed asset. what is the functionality available in ax for lending fixed asset and how it impact financially.

Hi axap,
There is no financial impact and there is no voucher generated for lending. The FA lending function is a mere form for recording who currently posesses a FA.

Can you please tell me difference between asset transfer within dimensions and lending option. which is better to use. In asset transfer I have seen the asset value and accumulated depreciation have been transferred to new dimension.
And also after asset transfer to new dimension, when we run depreciation proposal it proposing new dimension. So what will happen if I transfer the asset twice with in one depreciation period.

The lending option is a feature to record the current owner of a fixed asset. Let's say that you borrowed a fixed asset to an employee and want to record that this employee is currently possessing the fixed asset.
The FA transfer functionality is used if fixed assets are moved between financial dimensions. As an example, let's say that a company car was assigned to the production cost center but because the production manager resigned it is now assigned to the purchase manager/department. The major difference to the lending function is that historical postings are also moved to the new financial dimension.
