Making the Address field mandatory when adding a new Account

Hi,

Hopefully an easy one for the experts.  Can you tell me how to make it mandatory for the address fields to be entered when adding a new Dynamics account?

I use two different views but i hope that by making one mandatory the other will be mandatory as well.  I want staff to add new accounts but I am finding that some addresses are missing and I want to stop this happening.

See attached images of the areas that i am referring to.address-1.jpgaddress-2.jpg

Any advice appreciated.

Regards

MrM

You can go to the customizations of the entity, and set each of the fields as Business Required.

The highlighted fields are the fields that make up the Address. The Address1_Composite is the field that merges all the address fields into a single address.

This will add a little asterisk (*) next to each field, and you will not be able to save the record unless all records are entered.

Make sure you click on Publish All Customizations (or Publish for the entity itself) when you are done.

That's great Aric.  Problem solved.  Thanks very much.
