Hello everyone,

i want to know what exactly is the rights one should have in MSConnect in order to Download AX 7 VM RTW. I tried with a partner source account without success.

Hi there, i can download the VM using my personal outlook account that already linked with my company (Microsoft Partner) on partner.microsoft.com/en-US

Hi André,

thank you for the link - and I know it helps if you are directly linked to a Customer or a Partner.

But: do you know if there is any possibility to get a demo without being a Customer or a Partner?

Why I am asking:

In my case: I am "only" a MCT - and I do Trainings for AX and I am working freelance and I try to be NOT connected to a Customer or a Partner when I do my Trainings. In the past the Learning Download Center gave me a lot of material to Train myself and to demonstrate a solution to a user in a Standard Environment.

But how do I get a Standard AX7-Environment without being a Customer ?

How do I Support potential customers - without being a Partner?

Any help is highly appreciated!

Hi Wolfram,

that's a really good question. To my knowledge, this seems to be not possible at the moment. Hopefully this is going to be changed sometime in future.

I don't know what the plans will be for some "normal" developers to access "New"Ax - like using a full sized MSDN abo (Ax2012 and the older versions) with a special license?

Hi Wolfram,

It is possible to become an AX consulting partner. In this way you are not a reseller, but can get access to Partnersource.

Contact a local Microsoft office and try to get in contact with a Partner Account Manager for the options.

We started our company initially as consulting partner and ISV.

I tried to follow the instructions and when I created the project there is no AX7 option. What does this mean?

Hi Freya,

did you see "AX" without any following Number in the field "Product Name" when trying to create the Project?

I hope you did, because AX without any number is the Keyword for AX7 in this context.

Think you are connected to LCS with a LiveID/Hotmail Account (This shows only the "old" Ax Part), you have to connect with an organisational account (Tenant)
