Electronic Reporting and change of layout of the Word document in attachments

Hello!

I am quiet new to Electtronic Reporting and attached document.

I have a request to make a minor change of the layout of a word document for a free text invoice. It is a small adjustment in a column witdth. I would like to understand what are the steps to take in order to get the adjusted template in.

Is it to

Open the file as can be seen below.
Make the adjustment
Save the file with
1. Same original name or
2. Save it with a new name
Upload the file
Delete the already existing file
Give the file the same name as the already existing one

Or is the solution to go in here and clicik on import to import the document with the same title?

Hi,

You can check out this official document: Create a free text invoice template - Finance | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn, it shows you how to create a free text invoice template.

Of course, you can also modify the template on the Free text invoice templates page. This is shown in the screenshot below, you can modify the template on this page:

Hi Kristina,
On ER Config for Free text invoice (SWE), in my case this is Excel, you can just update your format designer as follows:

Then click on "Update template"

then click on "OK".

For word template, you can check Design a new ER configuration to generate reports in Word format - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
You need to delete the previous attachment and upload the new one, on format designer you need to choose the template again.
