Hi,

I am facing the below problem.

I made a purchase order by selecting "A" as my destination warehouse. While receiving the goods, i wish to receive part of the consignment to warehouse "A" and remaining to warehouse "B".

Please help me with the option available in AX.

Thanks in Advance

Jomy George

    Hi Jomy,

Can you tell us how you are doing PO receipt? Via the PO (either Registration or directly to Product receipt) or through Arrival overview / Item arrival? Or do you have R3 and are using functionality in the Warehouse management module?

Or is your question about which of those processes you could/should use?

In the cases where you need to split the receipt across different warehouses I suggest to use 'Registration' functionality. You can do this from the 'Posting product receipt' dialogue box ('Lines' tab -> 'Update line'), or earlier on the PO Line ('Update line' -> Registration).

The 'help' for this functionality can be found here.

Although it refers to 'Transfer orders', it actually applies anywhere that inventory registration is done.

Essentially, you can use 'Split' to split the 'Ordered' transaction. You then hit 'Auto-create' to copy the line to the 'Register now' area, where you can change the warehouse (and set any other required inventory dimensions). And you can tweak the quantities if necessary. Then you hit 'Post all'.

This will put the items into inventory in the warehouse(s) of your choice. You can then post the Product receipt (use Quantity = Registered).

    Hi!

I am having the same problem. The solution that Guy proposed is good for physical inventory, but the packing slip lines keep the PO warehouse instead of the new warehouse assigned at the registration.

I need that the packing slip lines take the new warehouse, but without changing the PO (this is a customer requirement).

    Any idea??

    Thanks!!
