Hello Agus,
What do you want to fix here?
The adjustments are usually automatically created when you run an inventory close or recalculation in order to calculate the correct price according to your valuation method (fifo, lifo, etc.). This is an automatic process that needs to run and ensures that your inventory values are correct.
Another possibility where adjustment are posted is when users enter a wrong cost price and subsequently make an adjustment in the inventory closing an adjustment form. Also here adjustments are created to get inventory values right.
Why is it that you do not like this adjustment?
Best regards,
Ludwig
hi ludwig,
i'm using standard cost method, in inventory value report display amount without qty make weird, i trace it, i found this record in inventsettlement table with same value in the report. don't know which area should i check.
Hello agus,
Do you see any adjustment transactions (lines) in the inventory closing and adjustment form? Can you share a screenprint of that form? Also can you search for the voucher in the voucher transaction form in GL and trace it back to the original document?
morning ludwig,
i checked based on you suggestion in the closing and adjustment form as shown below :
no data exist in there.
Hi agus,
Many thanks for this update.
If you are in the inventory transaction window and select 'inventory-trace' then you should see the issue and receipt transactions related to that and that are responsible for this posting.
What is it that you see there?
in 'inventory-trace" as shown below
what information i can get from this menu ?
Have you revalued the standard cost of that item? If so then settlement is needed for the increase in value on the on hand quantity against previous transactions.
Hi Agus,
What I can see is basically that there was a receipt posting with 5200 items that was linked to an issue with 10000 items. If I add the quantities in the fields above and below then the receipt transactions add up to 10000, which seems ok.
There are two major questions:
a) Have the receipts and issues been marked agains each other?
b) What inventory valuation principle do you use for this item?
