how to release product to other legal entity keeping the same setup like unit, counting group ..

dear All experts:

I am using ax 2012 CU9 and just created a new legal entity.

When I released some products to it, almost all setups not in Inventtable were missing.

Could you tell me is there a way to carry these setup as  the original company(for example: unit)?

and other setups can be pre-defined (ex: Default order setting) .

    Hi quatrani,

    During the standard release to legal entity feature there is no option to transfer these fields you mentioned but you can update the item details after the transfer with The date import export framework.

    It's not possible to carry setup if you cannot setup as pre-defines.

    Hi Quatrani,

    I strongly suggest you to use data import/export frame work if you want to copy information like default order setting on product, different UOM, etc.  Release the product to legal entity with standard information like Product ID, Name, product Group, product type and then use data import frame work to import other details.

    thanks for your reply. I try to use DIXF "COPY Entity data between company" . However . The number of product is too big that the batch hung for 12 hours. .Any suggestion.? thank you so much!

    Upload them in chunks not all of them together. How many products are we talking about?

    it's about 3 hundred thousand products.  How can i do it in chunks instead of whole entity's data in  "COPY Entity data between company"?

    Hi Quatrani,

    When product count is huge like you have, we always break down products by item groups and prepare data templates for like 10K products in each file.  You should also check how many Batch servers you have so that you can run multiple batch jobs on 01 batch server to upload products.

    For Example:

    Job 1:  10K

    Job 2:  10K

    Job 3:  10K

    Job 4:  10K

    So in total you can upload 40K products by using multiple batch jobs.

             thank you so much for the quick reply!  one  question. How can I choose which item group I want to be copy when I create the  "COPY Entity data between company" batch job? I  didn't see any configurations to do that.

    I will suggest you to update these details for respective company separately to ensure the data integrity and consistency. I am sure you must be having item groups in your all legal entities.

    Hi, Junaid:

    Sorry, but I don't get it. If we had 3 item groups (IG1,IG2,IG3) in A company,. Can I copy only group IG1  to company B? thanks.
