Limiting the number of hours of Leave an employee is allowed to take per day

Hi everyone,

My customer has a requirement whereby employees should only be allowed to take 4 or 8 hours of leave per day if they are full-time, or 3 or 6 hours if they are sub 1 FTE. I believe there is no out of the box solution for that, but would this be achievable with a workflow?

I've set up one that rejects every request that is < 2 and > 8 currently, but would anyone know a better way? Or is the workflow the only option?

Yes, I have suggested they use Days as unit instead, but they are not interested.

    Hi Betty,

    Unfortunately, a workflow is the best you can do OOTB in this scenario. I would personally build in an approval step that automatically rejects the incorrect amounts. Any figures you cannot build into it will slip through the cracks and will have to be denied by managers.

    Nonetheless, I'm curious to see if the community has some alternative suggestions for you.
