How the "Create or link to a collaboration workspace (Project)" feature works in D365F&O.

I'm planning to integrate a SharePoint document library with D365F&O Projects. I'm curious about how the /Create or link to a collaboration workspace (Project)/ feature works in D365F&O. Could someone explain what the template refers to in this context? Additionally, I'm interested to know if it's feasible to maintain separate SharePoint document libraries for each project. I couldn't find detailed information about this online. Could someone provide assistance with this?

    There is some documentation based on Dynamics AX 2012. The process is still the same.  Set up collaboration workspaces | Microsoft Learn
    In the application, you will only have the link to open a workspace once created or linked. When the create option is disabled, you don't have permission to create new SharePoint workspaces.

    There is nothing replacing but below are some recommendatios: 
    Modern Collaboration Alternatives:
    • Microsoft Teams Integration: D365 Project Operations integrates with Microsoft Teams, allowing you to connect your project to a Teams channel for communication, file sharing, and collaboration. 
       
    • SharePoint Integration: You can store and share files using SharePoint, which can be integrated with Teams. 
       
    • OneDrive Integration: OneDrive can also be used for file storage and sharing, notes Microsoft. 
       
    • Microsoft Project for the Web: This allows for real-time collaboration and editing of project plans with colleagues. 
       
    • Project Plan 365: Offers real-time collaboration for Microsoft Project MPP files. 
       
    • Other Collaboration Tools: D365 integrates with various other Microsoft 365 tools like Planner, OneNote, and Calendar, according to Microsoft.
